From the book of 1 John, listen to what John the apostle wrote in his letter to believers… followers of Christ, this letter is to us!

NASB 1 John 4:7-8 “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
8 The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”

  John was inspired by the Holy Spirit of God to write these words about love.
John knew what he was talking about because his life was transformed into a life of love by Jesus.

  When Jesus called John and his brother, James, to follow Him, He gave them a nickname: “sons of thunder”.  Mark 3:17
Later in Jesus’ ministry, these brothers wanted people to suffer the severe judgment of God.
Luke 9:51-54  And Jesus said, no.

God’s love transforms lives.
  Follower of Christ; be encouraged, as you follow Him, He is transforming you day by day, step by step.

Sometimes we take huge strides forward in our journey of faith.  Then there are the days, baby steps are taken – still transformation is happening!

  Are you the same person as you were a year ago?  Are you thinking along the same patterns or are you beginning to agree with God and His word to you, more and more?

Transformation means changes –
changes in motives, thoughts, words and actions.

  God’s transformation doesn’t happen overnight … are you giving the Lord God time to transform you — and others?
