The subject is – – – money.
Money itself is not a sin. We need money to live. Having money is not a sin. Having lots of money is not a sin.
But if love for money is your primary goal in life… the love of money will become a snare. It will lead to foolish and harmful desires. It plunges the lover of money into ruin and destruction.
What does God warn us about money?
NASB 1 Timothy 6:9-10 “But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction.
10 For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.”
Follower of Christ, whether you have enough money or not… take God’s warning seriously. Be prayerfully seeking God’s provision for you and how to use the money you have.
Be warned: the love for money causes people to wander from faith in Jesus. Money can become the motivator for life’s decisions. When love of money takes over it consumes and becomes the overpowering goal in life. Many griefs will follow. Do not be deceived – money is necessary to live. Money can also become a snare.
You are responsible to honor God in how you use money.
You have a responsibility to God in how you use your money.

What should we pursue? Godliness with contentment!
NASB 1 Timothy 6:6-8 “But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment.
7 For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either.
8 If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content.”
