Growing up under the leadership of Jesus Christ.
NASB Ephesians 4:14-15 “As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ.”

Building the body (the church) up in love.
NASB Ephesians 4:16 “from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.”

Speaking the truth in love will lead to growth and maturity as each part of Christ’s body chooses to work together with other believers under the leadership of Jesus Christ.

To whom are you yielded, to yourself or to another?  As followers of Christ He is our leader, He is the Head of His body, the church.  We are to be under His authority, yielded for His will, His word, His work to be done through us.

Confidence in Christ alone
Responding to Jesus Christ as the Head of His body with obedience, will be doing our part and the church will be built up in love.  What a witness to a watching world.
