Love builds others up…

NASB 1 Corinthians 8:1 “Now concerning things sacrificed to idols, we know that we have all knowledge.  Knowledge makes arrogant, but love edifies.”

You and I can know what the Bible says.  We can even have many passages memorized… then of what do we need to be careful?  Arrogance!  Arrogance because we know the Scriptures.

What does God say?  “… but love edifies.”

Genuine love builds others up – not tearing them down, or being critical of others, not to “look down our noses” at others as if we are better than they are.

Even if we have little knowledge of the Scriptures today, we can still build others up – not to inflate their ego, but to give them real encouragement.
