Have you had an “aha” moment recently?

“Aha” moments can change your direction, your thoughts, your words and your motives.

Perhaps you have heard, “Love the sinner, hate the sin.”  Me too.
Consider this… Love the sinner, hate my sin.
How can I hate someone else’s sin when I am a sinner too?

Followers of Christ are sinners, saved by the unmerited favor of Jesus.  We do not earn our salvation.  We do not work to be saved from our sins.  Jesus did all of that on the cross.

In fact, no one, no one, can earn or work to go to heaven.  It is all of Jesus’ work, not ours.

What are we to do?  We are to accept His death for us… He died with my sins, and your sins, on Him.
When I accepted, when I received, Jesus as my Savior, I was freed to love!

~ Take it to heart ~

Are you freed to love?  Are you freed from your sins?  Is Jesus your Savior?  He continues to forgive me my sins when I confess them.

Forgiven!
NASB 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Am I still a sinner?  You better believe it.  But, but, I am a forgiven sinner.  Are you?
NASB 1 John 1:10  “If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.”
