Jesus met a lawyer at the level the man knew… the Law!
Jesus meets you where you are… at the level you are in your understanding.

A lawyer stood up during a time Jesus was teaching.  A lawyer likes to ask questions… hard questions… probing questions.  This man was no different.

“… ‘Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?’”
Luke 10:25 NASB

Jesus went to the heart of the lawyer’s question… for the sake of the lawyer.  This man dealt with laws, his mind was focused on the legalities.  Jesus replied to the man with a question.
“What is written in the Law?  How does it read to you?”
Luke 10:26 NASB

Jesus talks to us at the level we understand.  He will never talk ‘down’ to you and me as if He were superior (and we know He is superior!).  He will not demean us or make fun of us…
