When you are a guest, are you content with the bed you sleep in?
Are you content with the food and drink served?

Thankful acceptance of what is given to you is a witness to God’s provision and your contentedness.

Being satisfied with what God provides is a learned response.

Jesus gave instructions to a large group of His followers before He sent them out to proclaim, “The kingdom of God has come near to you…”  Luke 10:9

Among the instructions were the following:
NASB Luke 10:7-8 “Stay in that house, eating and drinking what they give you; for the laborer is worthy of his wages.  Do not keep moving from house to house.
8 Whatever city you enter and they receive you, eat what is set before you…”

Paul’s letter to the Philippians included – “… I have learned to be content in whatever circumstance I am in.”  Philippians 4:11 NASB

Being content is to be satisfied. It isn’t always easy.  It is a learned behavior.
It is an active chosen response!

~ Take it to heart ~

(NASB) Hebrews 13:5 Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, ‘I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU.’”
(underlining added)

This is why you and I can confidently choose contentment… in our circumstances!
I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU.’”
