Jesus ~ knows your grief, your hurts, your sorrows.
Jesus ~ understands all the implications of your situation and how you will be affected in the months and years ahead.

The Lord Jesus has compassion… for you.  He meets needs, your needs, one step at a time.  To me, that is a comforting thought.  As needs come into my life, Jesus will meet my needs… as needed.

The real life story of a grieving mother and widow in the city of Nain exemplifies the way Jesus meets our needs with compassion.

Jesus and His twelve disciples along with a large crowd are entering the city of Nain as a large funeral procession is coming out of those same gates.  A son, the only son of a grieving widow, died.

Jesus’ compassion met her needs.  She needed her adult son.  Jesus said to the person in the coffin, “Young man, I say to you, arise!”  And that young man sat up and began to talk.
How surprised the coffin bearers must have been!!!  They probably then set the coffin down, the man stepped out and Jesus gave him back to his mother.  Luke 7:11-15

For this grieving mother, Jesus met her need, her very real need.
One step at a time, God will meet your needs, all of your needs, through faith in the Lord Jesus.

(NASB) Philippians 4:19 “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

“This I recall to mind,
Therefore I have hope.
22 The LORD’S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease,
For His compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
‘The LORD is my portion,’ says my soul,
‘Therefore I have hope in Him.’”
(NASB) Lamentations 3:21-24

Trusting in the Lord Jesus, is riches indeed,
healing indeed,
victory indeed!
