Anxious thoughts
This world gives us many reasons to be anxious. We worry about our families, we worry about our jobs. It seems there is always something which causes us to worry.
One way to deal with anxiety, indeed, the best way is “casting all your anxiety on Him (Jesus Christ), because He cares for you.”
1 Peter 5:7
God’s word, the Holy Bible, recounts the time a Roman centurion sent a servant to Jesus.
This centurion supported the local synagogue in Capernaum and was well respected in the community. He had a slave, whom he highly regarded, and that slave was near death.
He asked Jesus to heal the slave by His authority. The centurion understood authority… he was a man with authority. He spoke and people carried out his wishes. His faith was in Jesus’ power to heal, even from a distance.

The LORD God tells us what to do with our anxious thoughts.
(NASB) Philippians 4:6 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests by made known to God.”
