Faithfulness
Recently I had the privilege of going to Israel. The group I was with had quite a few married couples. When we visited Cana in Galilee, our Pastor led them in renewing their vows in a small chapel. It was a blessing to see those couples celebrating over 200 combined years of marriage!
Jesus attended a wedding in that same town. His first miracle is recorded in John 2:1-11
(NASB) John 2:1 “… there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee…”When a man and a woman come to a point to become one in the sight of God, they have a wedding ceremony. Their vows are to love each other and be faithful to one another.
A marriage ceremony is a big deal. No matter the size of the wedding… it should never be entered into lightly or with an attitude of “I can get out of this” in the future.
Faithfulness to each other and to God is essential to a solid, godly marriage.
Faithfulness to God is essential for every Christian.
The living God is faithful to all who turn to Him in repentance, confessing their sins and receiving Jesus’ forgiveness.
He forgives sin!
He accepts confession!
He loves you!
He is faithful to you!
~ Take it to heart ~
Are you living faithfully by following Jesus as your Savior?
Are you living faithfully by studying His word?
Are you living faithfully by doing what God says in the Holy Bible?
