If you are threatened or are hurt by those without Jesus Christ in their lives – what do you do?

It is easier to forgive people who say they do not believe in Jesus than those who claim to be Christians but are hurtful.

People who claim to be Christian believers, those who intentionally harm and hurt others with attitude, actions and words are especially difficult to forgive – because we expect more from them.

Indeed, they turn many away from Jesus.  Have they succeeded turning you away from God and effectively turned you from following Jesus?  As a result have you turned from fellowship with other believers in Jesus?

Jesus understands that kind of rejection!  He was there and did that.  The people in His hometown of Nazareth tried to kill Him by pushing Him off of a high cliff.  They didn’t succeed.  He left Nazareth and walked a path between gently high mountains in Galilee down to the city of Capernaum on the shore of the Sea of Galilee.

Jesus did not let others dictate His attitude in life by their unbelief and hate toward Him.
And you don’t need to either.

Turn to the Lord Jesus for healing your hurts and scars.

(NASB) 1 John 3:7-8 “Little children, make sure no one deceive you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous;
8 the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning.  The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.”

(NASB) 1 John 4:19-20 “We love, because He first loved us.
20 If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.
21 And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also.”
