King Ahab was married to Jezebel who brought the worship of the Baals and the Asherah into Israel.  1 Kings 16:31-33

Jezebel’s reputation comes from her choices in life.  She was an evil woman.  She had many prophets of the LORD murdered.
1 Kings 18:13

Nothing is uglier than a person who is filled with hatred.  Eventually it shows in their facial expressions and permeates all they do.

Rejecting faith in the living God is allowing hatred to take root in hearts and minds.  Hatred is evil.  Evil kills.

What is the living God’s remedy for hatred?  Follower of Christ, God has an answer to those who hate you.  It is not to retaliate.  It is not to seek revenge.  It is not to hate.

What hatred does:
(NASB) Proverbs 10:18 “He who conceals hatred has lying lips,
And he who spreads slander is a fool.”
Please do not speak lies or spread the slander of gossip.

(NASB) Proverbs 10:12a “Hatred stirs up strife…”
Please do not spread words that cause arguments and quarrels leading to fights.

What is God’s answer to hatred?
(NASB) Proverbs 10:12b “… But love covers all transgressions.”
Follower of Christ: Love is a choice which God wants you and me to make… no matter what.

(NASB) 1 Corinthians 13:4-6
“Love is patient,

Love is kind and is not jealous;

Love does not brag and is not arrogant,

(Love) does not act unbecomingly;

(Love) does not seek its own (self-seeking)

(Love) is not provoked,

(Love) does not take into account a wrong suffered,

(Love) does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but  rejoices with the truth;

(Amplified Bible) 1 Corinthians 13:7
Love bears up under anything and everything what comes,

(Love) is ever ready to believe the best of every person,

(Love) its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances

(Love) endures everything [without weakening].

~ Take it to heart ~

Love never fails, ever!
