Preparations… last minute to do list
What final preparations need to be made before going on a trip?
Make a check list, at least in your mind.
Are your pets taken care of? Check.
Do I have my tickets? Check.
Does my vehicle have gas? Check.
Trip insurance? Is it needed? Check.
Bills taken care of; mail delivery put on hold or someone to pick it up; temperature of your home set while you are away; details, details.
What clothes do I want to take?… what is the temperature going to be like?
What clothes are absolutely needed and is there enough room in my suitcase?
How I pray, for each one of you who are reading this devotional, to put as much thought into your decisions about the Lord Jesus Christ as you would make for a trip.
Please do not put off to the last minute of life before you choose the Lord Jesus as your Savior.
All Scripture used is from the New American Standard Bible.
God loves you! John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
God has a wonderful plan for your life. John 10:10b “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”
Because of your sin, you are separated from God. Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
The penalty for sin is death. Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
The penalty for your sin was paid by Jesus Christ. Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
If you repent of your sin, confess and trust Jesus as your Savior, you will be saved from your sins. Romans 10:9-10 “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”
You can be sure that if you ask Christ to save you, He will.
1 John 5:13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.”
