As the days are counting down, how do you get ready for a trip?  Some people wait until the last minute then throw things into a duffle bag or suitcase.  Others begin filling their luggage some days in advance… carefully following their list.  Still others, myself included, “gather” things, making piles here and there.  Then the day before traveling, pack their suitcase and possibly rearranging things as they go.

Are you like that in thinking about your last days… waiting until the last minute to make things “right” with God so you can go to heaven?
Or do you have a bucket list of things you want to do before that final trip?

Are you “gathering” as you go, here a pile of things to do, there a pile of things to do… and hoping to get it altogether before you too will draw your last breath?

No matter how you prepare for heaven – or hell – that day will come to all of us.

Follower of Christ, you can be prepared, peacefully aware that a change is about to take place.
The following is from my own experience: My spouse and I prayed the 23rd Psalm together each evening the last few weeks of life.  I will never look or read the 23rd Psalm in the same way… such a comfort, such peace from God, such love grew greater between us.

How are you getting ready for that trip today?

You also can receive Jesus as your Savior, today.

You too can ask His forgiveness and ask Him to live in you – today, right this moment.  When you receive Jesus as your Savior, your destination immediately becomes heaven.  You have gotten everything that is necessary to enter heaven.  You will have Jesus as your Savior.

The living God has made it simple for anyone to enter heaven.  It is only through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  Are you ready for your final trip?

~ Take it to heart ~

(NASB) John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”

Faith in Jesus is the only way to prepare for the trip to heaven.
