How do you prepare for an extended trip?

Life is an extended trip, isn’t it?
What destination do you have in mind when you leave this life?

Have you even thought about it?
Many people don’t… we don’t tend to think that far into the future.

What if… the future isn’t that far away?

Actually, there are just two possible destinations.  You choose the one you will go to before you take your last breath here on this earth.
Right now, what is that destination?

Those whose faith is in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior
If you are a follower of Christ, one whose faith is in the Lord Jesus Christ, you are assured of your destination ~ heaven.

(NASB) John 5:24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.”

Those without faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
If you have not made the choice of receiving Jesus as your Savior, you also have chosen your destination – hell.

(NASB) 2 Peter 2:4, 9 “For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment…”

9 “then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment.”
