We make dumb comments when we cover up our words and actions and when we are called out by others.

When we do that, we lie!  We lie to ourselves, we lie to others and most importantly we lie to God.  We deceive others and many times we deceive ourselves.  And God knows the truth!

How dumb is that?  We should never point our fingers at others as if they are to blame for our mistakes, our sins.  Rationalization is not a good thing… we lie to make ourselves look good, at least to ourselves.  We make ourselves seem to be a victim.

Aaron told Moses, in an attempt to cover his own guilty words and actions… “out came this calf.”  Exodus 32:24
Yeah, right, Aaron.  And when we lie, others are thinking the same thing, yeah, right!

Follower of Christ, you were once a victim of sin… but no longer!  Faith in your Savior Jesus Christ took you from being a victim to becoming a victor!
