“In the beginning”…that is how God begins the story of man.  From the beginning, God desired a real relationship to exist between Himself and the people He created. Genesis 1:26-31

However, Adam and Eve were tempted by the serpent (Satan) and sinned against God.  That one act created a barrier between man and God forever.    Genesis 3:1-19

But, God, in His infinite mercy, had a plan, from the very beginning, to restore that relationship.  Genesis 3:15
The first promise of Messiah came immediately after the first sin.

God’s plan to restore our relationship with Him was foretold in the Old Testament.  He also provided a way to be forgiven of sin before Jesus came to earth, died, and was resurrected.  The Old Testament in the Bible is full of prophecy and foreshadowing (or pictures of Christ).  The Passover, the prophets, the specified sacrifices…all point to the restored relationship we can now have with our God.

Messiah Foreknown
(NASB) 1 Peter 1:20 “For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you.”

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”  John 1:1

The Word is Jesus, the Son of God.  Not only was Jesus present at creation, He had a specific role to fulfill.  HE is the One who repaired the broken relationship between us and God.  HE is the ONLY One who can.

Before creation of the world, Jesus the Messiah existed, had being!

~Take it to Heart~

We are sinners.  We have a broken relationship with God.
ONLY Jesus can heal that brokenness in our lives.
Do you know Him?

Have you sought God’s forgiveness through faith in His Son?
