Sanctification is an awfully big word.  It is a word which is used by believers in Christ.  What does it mean?  How can it be described?

Definition of Sanctification
Set apart for the LORD Himself; set apart by the LORD God.

Description of Sanctification   Romans 6:15-19
All believers are under grace; shall we continue to knowingly sin?  No, no, no!

When anyone becomes a slave, they obey their master.  Who is your master?  If it is sin, then death will be the results.  If it is God, your obedience will result in righteousness.

We should be thankful to our God, follower of Christ, because you and I were slaves to sin before we knew Jesus as our Savior.

After asking Jesus to save us from those very sins, now we should be obedient to the living God.  He is continuing to change us, making us more like Christ.

We are freed from sin!  Then it follows that we are now slaves to righteousness – servants of God!

We once presented ourselves to serve impurity and lawlessness.  Now we are to present every area of our life to serve righteousness, to right being and doing, and this results in sanctification.

~ Take it to heart ~

We are set apart by the LORD for Himself.
You and I are sanctified for the LORD…
How should we now live?
