The LORD gave Moses a specific recipe for incense.  It was a perfume which was salted, pure and holy.
This incense was made intentionally and put in a specific place in the tabernacle.  God would meet His people through His chosen priest there.  Exodus 30:34-35

Let’s think about what God told Moses… He would meet His people where the perfumed incense was used.

When we pray it is to be done with the purpose of worshiping God.  Some prayers are spontaneous, other times, we purposely set aside time to intentionally pray and worship our God.  Where God is… that is holy ground.

Do you recognize that your prayers are to the LORD and you are on holy ground?

Wonder of wonders, follower of Christ, your prayers and mine are like perfume to the living God, our Savior.

You and I are not to treat prayer with flippancy, lightly or as duty to be gotten over and done with.

Prayer is worshiping God your Savior.

Prayer is thanksgiving, praise, seeking forgiveness, interceding for others; prayer includes a wide range of possibilities.

When was the last time your prayer was intentional?

~ Take it to heart ~

Follower of Christ: The next time you pray, Remember: you are on holy ground before the living God who is your Savior and Lord!
