Text messaging, Twitter, Facebook, messages left on your phone, messages sent through e-mail and snail mail.  Messages are important to send and receive.  Do you read them when you get them?

The LORD God sends you and me messages.  He does it through His word, the holy Bible.  He does it through His children, believers in Jesus Christ.

The LORD God sent His messages through His prophets and leaders in the Old Testament.  He sent His messages through His Son and His leaders in the New Testament.  The holy Bible is up-to-date.  Its words are living and powerful.  True and to be listened to – every day.

(NASB) Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

The Amplified Bible explains this verse in this way:
“For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and the [immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.”

God sends His message, loud and clear!  Are you listening?  The followers of Christ will understand God’s words as we depend on God the Holy Spirit.
