What is important to God should be very important to us.  God gave Moses the blueprints and patterns for the tabernacle and all its furnishings and the priestly garments.  He provided the materials for all of these things, before the sons of Israel left Egypt!  They asked their taskmasters and other Egyptians for various items the LORD told them.  When they left Egypt, they carried these things with them, not knowing that God would use them for His glory.
Exodus 12:35-36

What is important to God should be very important to us.  The LORD our God tells us to follow Him and do what He says.  Do we?  We have no clue, many times, how God will use it for His glory in our lives.

Jesus said, “I am the bread of the world.”  In another verse He said, “I am the bread of life.”  John 6

The Table of Showbread was important to God.  It still is!  For the bread is a “picture” of His Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. See yesterday’s devotional.

The lampstand… the pattern for the lampstand was important to God.  It was a “picture” of His Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, “I am the Light of the world.”  John 8:12

Jesus is the Light the world needs, today.  It is Jesus Who provides the Light I need and you need in our lives.  His Light never goes out.  Nothing can quench that Light… throughout today, all the tomorrows and into eternity.  This was important to God, it still is.

Who Jesus is, is important to God.  He is the bread of life, He is the Light of life.  Do you know Him as your Savior?  Do you know Him as your Lord?  The Lord, the Master, of your life?  Do you do what He says to do through His word, the holy Bible?

One more question – is the Bible important to you?  It is important to God.  The Holy Bible reveals what is close to God’s heart – YOU!

Jesus, the Son of God, humbled Himself and became a servant, to serve your needs as your Savior.

(NASB) John 8:12 “… ‘I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”

What is important to God

should be the top priority

of what is important to you.
