The Bread of Life
How do you explain something to a small child or someone from another culture who cannot understand your language? One way is through pictures.
God used “pictures” of His Anointed One, the Messiah in the construction of the tabernacle and all its furnishings to explain His Messiah, Jesus.
Rituals in the Old Testament are, most often, “pictures” describing an aspect of Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ.
God provided ways to “see” and understand His purposes and plans for Jesus, His only begotten Son.
One of those “pictures” is the bread of the Presence in the holy place in the tabernacle. The twelve tribes of Israel would be represented by twelve loaves of bread on the Table of Showbread at all times. Fresh loaves would replace the old loaves each week.
Exodus 25:23-30
(NASB) John 6:35 “Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.”
(NASB) John 6:47 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.”
~ Take it to heart ~
(NASB) John 6:51 “I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever…”
Jesus said, Come to Me.
Jesus said, Believe in Me.
Jesus said, All who believe in Me will have eternal life.
Jesus is the bread of life.
Believe Him, Ask Him to be your Savior.
Live your life by trusting and having faith in Him, every day.
