What are your life goals?  For what are you working – so hard?

Do you need to change your motives, do I?

Do we need to re-think the reasons for working?

Here are a few reasons you may be working:
To put food on the table
To buy “stuff”
To save money for hard times or college
To have money for an inheritance for your children
To be where God calls you as a volunteer in a ministry
To help people and to save money toward retirement
Why do you work?

What did Jesus say to a really large crowd?
(NASB) John 6:27 “Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you, for on Him the Father, God, has set His seal.”

Perhaps your next question to Jesus would be similar to the one those in the crowd asked.
(NASB) John 6:28 “What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?”

Jesus answered them and He answers the same today.
(NASB) John 6:29 “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.”

What a simple answer!  There is nothing said about working hard, or long, or being tired all of the time from overwork!
God the Father desires you and me to believe in His Son.  Faith in Jesus is God’s work for us!

I have been a believer for many years and I needed to hear this… again!

Come to Jesus by faith – there is where we will find His mercy, His grace, His love, His forgiveness.

Come to Jesus by faith – this is God’s work for you and me.

Come to Jesus by faith – God the Father sent His only begotten Son as a baby in Bethlehem.

This same Jesus lived in Galilee and Judea, He died outside the walls of Jerusalem.  He was raised to life forever and ever.

Come to Jesus by faith – this is the work which God requires of you and me.  Every day.

For what reason do you work?
