Moses was called by God to go up the mountain to meet with God Himself.  Then Moses waited… and waited.  Exodus 24:12a
One day, then two, three, four, five, six days and still God did not speak.  Moses knew he was called by God to go up that mountain at that time.

He also knew why he was there… God said:
“…and I will give you the stone tablets with the law and the commandment which I have written for their (the people’s) instruction.”  (NASB) Exodus 24:12b

Perhaps you have received a call from God to go… and you went.  But God is silent… and you are waiting for Him.

Remember God is sovereign.  He is in charge even when circumstances are “out of whack” and even out of control.

We are to wait on God, period.
“Make me know Your ways, O LORD;
Teach me Your paths.
5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
For You I wait all the day.
(NASB) Psalm 25:4-5

We are to wait on the LORD where He calls us and continue doing what He called us to do – until He closes that door and opens another one.

We are to be faithful because our God is faithful to us.  While waiting, continue to trust God.

He gives us a promise and He fulfills it!
“Yet those who wait for the LORD
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary.”
(NASB) Isaiah 40:31

Moses waited … and on the seventh day…
“Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying…”
(NASB) Exodus 25:1
