The following is one way to begin the new year of 2019 with God’s blessings.

(NASB) Psalm 1:1 “How blessed is the man (and woman) who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!”

You and I are given specific instructions by the living God of the Holy Bible what we should choose not to do.

Don’t go to people who do not have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for godly advice or counsel.

Don’t intentionally stand where those without Christ Jesus as their Savior hang out.

Don’t get comfortable and sit with anyone who scoffs at God and/or His word.

If you hear derision, “put downs,” or God’s word made fun of in any way as if it is a myth – flee!  Get away from such teaching… for it is not of the LORD God.

In Psalm 1:2 there is a change of direction from the negative to a positive.  “Listen” to what God says.
(NASB) Psalm 1:2 “But his (and her) delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he (and she) meditates day and night.”

God is sooo good – He redirects our thinking from those who are without Christ in their lives and takes you and me into His very presence.

We are to “delight in the law of the LORD.”
We are to meditate, ponder, deeply reflect, to have deep “thinks” about God’s word to us… day and night.

~ Take it to heart ~

1 “How blessed is the man (and woman) who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!”
2 “But his (and her) delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he (and she) meditates day and night.”
(NASB) Psalm 1:2

We are to enjoy God’s Blessings in 2019.
We are to choose to be immersed in His word,
every day!
