Many people without the Lord Jesus in their life refuse to forgive those who have hurt or harmed them.
Follower of Christ – do not be like the world.  The Lord Jesus saved you from your sins and He paid a great price to save you.  He forgave you the moment you asked Him to be your Savior and Lord.
The world is unforgiving.  Followers of Christ are to forgive.  The living God says so in the Holy Bible.

Who owes you an apology?  To whom do you owe an apology?  Do you have debts of resentment, a wrong action or word against someone, unforgiveness, even the debt of hatred toward another?

Jesus said to His disciples when He taught them how to pray:
(NASB) Matthew 6:12 “And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.”

Forgiveness is the key word.

What does God’s word say to us?
Bless your enemies
(NASB) Romans 12:14 “Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.”

No “pay backs”
(NASB) Romans 12:17 “Never pay back evil for evil to anyone.  Respect what is right in the sight of all men.”

Difficult as it is – don’t look for trouble or cause trouble with anyone
(NASB) Romans 12:18 “If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.”

Never, ever, take revenge
(NASB) Romans 12:19 “Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, ‘VENGEANCE is MINE.  I WILL REPAY.’ Says the Lord.”

Obedience is putting what you know is pleasing to God into action
(NIV) Romans 12:20 “If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.’”

~ Take it to heart ~

Remember: Do good to anyone who despitefully uses you
(NASB) Romans 12:21 “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

Forgive my enemies?
Yes, because the LORD God says so!
