“Listen” to what God is saying to you and me, today!
(NASB) Exodus 20:23-26 “You shall not make other gods besides Me; gods of silver or gods of gold, you shall not make for yourselves.
24 ‘You shall make an altar of earth for Me, and you shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen; in every place where I cause My name to be remembered, I will come to you and bless you.”

Where God establishes His name – there I am to worship Him.

The LORD God promises His presence and His blessing – in every place where He causes His name to be remembered.

For Jesus-followers, we were given God the Holy Spirit to live in us at the very nano second we received Jesus as our Savior.  He established His name in our lives that very moment!  We are NOT to worship ourselves.  We are to worship the living God Who lives in us!

When we worship the living LORD our God, we are not to take this privilege and honor lightly or flippantly.  We are worshiping God our Savior, our Shepherd, our Guide and Counselor, our Father!  He is all of these attributes and many more.  We have eternity to honor Him in worship.

We are to worship God!   Revere God!  Kneel before God!  Adore God!  Venerate God alone.

No other name, no other person, living or dead, is to be venerated.  Only God is to be genuflected or knelt to in worship.

This could be your prayer, follower of Christ:

‘LORD, I worship You, God the Father; Jesus, God the Son; and God the Holy Spirit this moment.
I worship You with adoration, veneration, bowing and kneeling before You alone.
Revering Your holy name – One God yet three Persons.
In the name of Jesus, my Savior, Amen.
