Who: God reveals Himself to anyone who comes to Him.

Where: The LORD God revealed Himself to the sons of Israel standing at the foot of Mt. Sinai.
He revealed His mighty power over nature.  The mountain had flashes of lightning and loud thunder followed, the mountain smoked and when the people saw and heard the forces of nature they were terrified!  Exodus 20:18

Why: The LORD God revealed Himself in this way to test the people.  He did it so the people would reverentially fear Him – that they would not sin. Exodus 20:19

What: Moses knew the LORD and he told the people not to be afraid.  Terrifying fear is different from reverential fear; we are to give the LORD respectful awe due his holy name.

When: True, reverential fear will cause us to think well and long before we intentionally sin.

God is approachable – on His terms.

How: Can you and I put God’s words into action today?
Choose a time to be alone with the LORD – today.
Have your Bible and even a pad of paper and pen or pencil to make a few notes as you “listen” to God speaking to you from His word, the Holy Bible.

~ Take it to heart ~

REMEMBER: God is far greater than you or I.

Praying is talking to God Himself.

Studying/reading God’s word is “listening” to what God has to say to you.

What you learn in the presence of the LORD God is to be put into action – as you move into your day.
