(NASB) Exodus 20:16 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.”

The LORD God gives a specific definition about lying against your neighbor.
(NASB) Exodus 23:1-3 “You shall not bear a false report; do not join your hand with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.
2 You shall not follow the masses in doing evil, nor shall you testify in a dispute so as to turn aside after a multitude in order to pervert justice:
3 nor shall you be partial to a poor man in a dispute.”

Did you notice that you are not to go along with the crowd?
Did you notice that you are not to be take the side of a poor man, just because he is poor?

The LORD God understands the excitement and power of a mob.
Be careful not to get swept up into the frenzy of a crowd… they may be way off of God’s path and may be all about perverting justice.

The LORD warns us, followers of Christ, to keep a far distance from lying about anyone.  Lying leads to killing the innocent or the righteous.  The LORD will not acquit, free or overlook the guilty.  Exodus 23:7

A question:
What do you DO to you can get what you want?

This leads to more questions:
What do you desperately want?
What are you willing to DO to get what you want?

Many people want power, to be in control, so they maliciously and intentionally lie and steal reputations.  They kill with their words and their tongues.

They incite vicious attacks against their “enemies.”  They may even bribe and promise great things to agitate and “take out” their opponents.

Do not be a part of a conspiracy to overthrow another through being a malicious and lying witness.

REMEMBER: God will not acquit, free or overlook the guilty.
