Stealing is taking anything which does not belong to you.
Stealing makes you a thief.

God says, Do not steal.  Therefore, Don’t Do It!

Using land which does not belong to you – is stealing!

Moving boundary markers – stealing land which does not belong to you – is stealing!  Deuteronomy 19:14

(NASB) Proverbs 30:9b  “… that I not be in want and steal,
And profane the name of the LORD.”

Did you know that stealing is profaning the name of the LORD?  I did not know this before writing this devotional.  Stealing is serious business to the LORD.
Stealing is taking the LORD God’s name and dragging it through the mud.

“You Shall Not Steal”

Jesus said in Matthew 6:19 (NASB)
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroys, and where thieves do break in or steal…”

Jesus is talking about what we treasure.  He also calls anyone who breaks in and steals – a thief!

~ Take it to heart ~

(NASB) Ephesians 4:28 “He who steals  must steal no longer; but rather he must labor, performing with his own hands what is good, so that he will have something to share with one who has need.”

“You shall not steal.”
(NASB) Exodus 20:15
