Deep Desire for God Himself
Picture a deer in the wilderness, searching for water because it is very thirsty. It is panting for lack of water. Searching for the smallest drop of moisture to help satisfy its thirst.
Are you looking for God in the same way? Are you searching for Him?
Are you like that deer? Are you seeking and desiring God Himself as that deer pants for needed water? Psalm 42:1
Does your mind, your emotions and your will thirst for God, for the living God?
Do you deeply desire God Himself; and enjoy being in His presence as you pray and read His word?
Have you considered this? Having a deep desire for God Himself is from God!
Jesus, God the Son, is calling you to come to Him.
(NASB) John 7:37 “Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.”Too often, I have turned away from seeking God and settling for lesser things to fill my thirst, to satisfy my hunger. When the answer is: ‘Come to Jesus, meet with the Savior, to be with the Shepherd, the very Son of God!’
Turn to God, the living God and His Son and turn away from any idols you have in your life. “…serve a living and true God.”
1 Thessalonians 1:9
(NASB) 1 Thessalonians 1:10 “and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come.”

Deep Desire for God Himself
(NASB) Psalm 42:1-2 “As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So my soul pants for You, O God.
2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God;
When shall I come and appear before my God?”
“… Jesus stood and cried out, saying,
‘If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.”
(NASB) John 7:37)
Come!
Drink deeply!
Desire God Himself!
