Moses led about two million people out of Egypt into the wilderness.  He was the deliverer God used to free these men and women and their families from slavery. Exodus 16:1

Personal Attack and Accusation against Moses
(NASB) Exodus 16:2-3 “The whole congregation of the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.
3 The sons of Israel said to them, ‘Would that we had died by the LORD’S hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat, when we ate bread to the full; for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.’”

A teachable moment
The LORD God is my Teacher, is He yours?   As His students we are to be teachable, and at times the learning curve is huge!  No matter your age or mine, are we teachable?  To grow spiritually ~ trusting God is a must.  The LORD God may use our circumstances to test us.
Are we teachable?

“Listen” to what God said to Moses…
(NASB) Exodus 16:4-5 “Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether or not they will walk in My instruction.
5 ‘On the sixth day, when they prepare what they bring in, it will be twice as much as they gather daily.’”

As the sons of Israel were to gather a daily portion just right for them, we are to gather our spiritual food by reading God’s word every day.  Gathering spiritual food is needed so we can function effectively… every day.

~ Take it to heart ~

God tests us – whether or not we will walk in His instructions to us.

His instructions are in the Holy Bible…

Gather the spiritual food He has for you… every day.

Do what He says to do.

Walk in His instructions from His word, the Holy Bible.
