In the days of Moses
The LORD led the sons of Israel from Egyptian slavery through His servant Moses.
Exodus 13:7-22

The LORD miraculously protected about two million people by a cloud and the darkness of night as they were pursued by a mighty Egyptian army.  Exodus 17:19-20

The LORD miraculously parted the Red Sea and the sons of Israel crossed over on dry ground.
Exodus 14:21-22, 29

The LORD used His great power and judged against Pharaoh and his army of over 600 chariots.  Exodus 14:23-28

The Israelis saw the results as they viewed dead Egyptians on the sea shore.  Exodus 14:30

The LORD’S great power was seeable, experienced,
and therefore believed by the sons of Israel.

A number of years after Jesus died, was buried, then resurrected to physical life and ascended into heaven, Peter wrote this truth about a believer’s faith…and its reward in verse 9.

(NASB) 1 Peter 1:6-9 “In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials,
7 so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
8 and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,
9 obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.”

~ Take it to heart ~

 (NASB) John 20:29 “Jesus said to him, ‘Because you have seen Me, have you believed?  Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”

Follower of Christ we are to live by faith.
“For in the gospel righteousness from God is revealed,
a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,
just as it is written:
‘The righteous will live by faith.”
(NIV) Romans 1:17

Blessed are you when you believe Jesus;
For this is faithful living.
