God’s power is proven over and over.  God’s power – how I need to have my “spiritual eyes” opened to see God’s power today!  I need, indeed I want to see God’s power in events which are chaotic and catastrophic.

The LORD God’s power is greater than any ruler, than any person in a high position in government, politics or business; He is greater than any hate-filled action, act of nature or any other power.

In the days of Moses, the LORD God was fair and just, even with Pharaoh.  Opportunity upon opportunity was given him.  But he refused; he hardened his heart over and over.

Pharaoh was a “god” among the many gods of Egypt.  God proved He Himself greater than Pharaoh!

(NASB) Exodus 12:29 “Now it came about at midnight that the LORD struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of cattle.
30 Pharaoh arose in the night, he and all his servants and all the Egyptians, and there was a great cry in Egypt, for there was no home where there was not someone dead.”

On that long ago night in Egypt, death came even to the “god” of Egypt, whose firstborn died.

Death is devastating to all people who do not know the LORD as their Savior and their God.

For the followers of Christ, we know without a doubt that when our loved ones die we will see them again in heaven, very much alive.  Their bodies are still here, but the essential part of the person, their soul, is alive!  How do we know this?  Because we know of God’s power over death!

Jesus, the Son of God, died on a cross and was buried in a tomb.  On the third day after His death the power of God raised Him to physical life, never to die again.

Perhaps you know of those who refuse to believe in the living God.  Continue to pray for them; continue to put your faith in the living God and His power.

~ Take it to heart ~

(NASB) Ephesians 1:18-20I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.  These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might
20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places…
