Obedience …went and did so…
Follower of Christ: obedience is belief in God and His word and then acting on that belief.
Obedience to God and His word results in His protection through faith in His Son… His Son’s blood is our protection. His sacrificial blood was given when He died on the cross – this is very personal for all followers of Christ.
Jesus obeyed when He went to the cross. He knew He was securing all who believe in Him an eternity in heaven, forever and ever.
The LORD God commanded Hebrew families in Egypt to choose an unblemished, year old lamb for each household. They were to kill the sacrificial lamb and take some of its blood and put it on the two doorposts and lintel of each house with a bunch of hyssop.
Then they were to roast the lamb and eat it, staying inside the house until morning. They were to be dressed, with their sandals on their feet and their staff in their hand – ready to travel at a moment’s notice. Exodus 12:5, 7-8, 11, 22
They obeyed… “just as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.”
Exodus 12:28All of this they did, before God’s judgment came on the Egyptians.
They were prepared by God – are you listening to God and being prepared?
They were protected by God – are you? Is your faith in His Son, the Lamb of God?
They believed the promise of God, do you? Do you choose to believe God’s promise to you?
What is the promise of God? The promise is that you also can be saved through faith in Jesus Christ, who is the Lamb of God. Ephesians 2:8
Jesus said:
(NASB) John 10:27-30 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;
28 and I give eternal life to them and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.
29 ‘My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.”

Can you also say with me?
I am saved by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Lamb of God whose sacrificial blood was given, so I can say: He is my Shepherd, He is my Savior. His name is Jesus.
