“…bowed low and worshiped.”
The LORD God is thorough ~ He covers all the bases and He does it before it happens.
Before He put His plan into action He told the Hebrew people what to expect. He told them how they could be saved from the angel of death avoiding God’s judgment on unbelief to the Egyptians. He also told them how to help future generations remember this important fact in their history.
Teaching
(NASB) Exodus 12:26-27 “And when your children say to you, ‘What does this rite mean to you?’
27 you shall say, ‘It is a Passover sacrifice to the LORD who passed over the houses of the sons of Israel in Egypt when He smote the Egyptians, but spared our homes…”Responding to God
(NASB) Exodus 12:27 “… And the people bowed low and worshiped.”Follower of Christ – Jesus is the Passover Lamb. His blood was sacrificed on the cross for your sins. He gave Himself so we would be freed from the slavery of sin.
We are saved from God’s judgment, His wrath on sins – our sins! When we ask Jesus to be our Savior, His blood covers us, protects us and this is what God sees. His Son’s unblemished, sacrificial blood!
When was the last time you bowed low and worshiped the living God?
When was the last time you thanked the Lord Jesus?
~ Take it to heart ~
“Praise the LORD!
Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty expanse.
2 Praise Him for His mighty deeds;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness.”
(NASB) Psalm 150:1-2
