Great men and women of God are great because of their faith in the living God.

Men and women such as Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, Rahab, Deborah, Samuel and the list goes on for those whose faith was in God.  Their God is the same God you and I can know and in whom we can have faith as our Savior.

No one was born with faith in God.  How can I say that?  Because God says so.
(NASB) Romans 6:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Until a friend told me of my need to ask Jesus to save me from my sins, I did not know I needed Jesus as my Savior.

(NASB) Romans 10:14-15 “How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed?
How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard?  And how will they hear without a preacher?
15 How will they preach unless they are sent?  Just as it is written, ‘HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!’

(NASB) Romans 10:17 “So faith comes from hearing and hearing by the word of Christ.”

I was dead in my sins and didn’t know it.
(NASB) Ephesians 2:1-2 ‘And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,
2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.”

The beginning of faith in God’s grace is His favor which no one can earn; I was saved by faith in Jesus Christ.  He died on a cross in my place for my sins!  God’s gift to me is beyond any value I can place on it.
(NASB) Ephesians 2:8 ‘For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.”

The life of faith begins with belief in the Lord Jesus Christ.  The next steps of faith are in Him in our circumstances.  Our eyes and our focus need to be on Him by faith, all day and every day!
(NASB) Habakkuk 2:4 “… But the righteous will live by his faith.”

As we grow in our faith this can become one of our prayers…
(NASB) Luke 17:5 “… ‘Increase our faith!’”

Faith is the reality of Christ’s sacrifice for me and I am to live sacrificially so others will know God my Savior also.

(NASB) Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me.”

To all generations I will make known Your faithfulness with my mouth.”
