Selfish Agendas ~No Concern for Others~

Selfish agendas have no concern for others or how they will be affected.

Pharaoh was such a man.  He had power and wealth.  But he had no concern for the people of Egypt.  The Nile River had been turned into blood; the Egyptians found it impossible to drink.  Pharaoh had no concern even for this.  Exodus 7:23

People in powerful positions, many times, have no concern for how their choices and actions will affect others.  Their agendas are hidden.  Their desire to gain or retain power fuels their selfish agendas.

Those people who have power and use it unselfishly for the good of others, are to be commended.

Pharaoh was not listening or acknowledging the LORD.

How did the LORD “handle” this problem?

The LORD God continued on, He was not deterred by Pharaoh’s power or wealth.  God was not intimidated whatsoever.

How does this affect you and me?
How do you choose to go into this day?

Do you choose your hidden agendas for your own self-promotion?

Or do you choose an attitude of thankfulness to the living God?

Do you choose to acknowledge God’s sovereign ways in your life?

Will you choose, this moment, to focus on God your Savior?
