There is much fake news today.  It’s on the internet, TV, radio, social media, newspapers – what to believe?  When facts are twisted to sound like truth, it is hard to discern truth.

When God’s word is read, do you read it as truth?  Or do you pooh-pooh it as myth?
What does God say about His word?

“Your word, O LORD, is eternal;
it stands firm in the heavens.”
(NIV) Psalm 119:89

“… by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before [us].”
(Amplified Bible Hebrews 6:18)

God’s word is not fake news.
God’s word is truth.  All of it.  You can trust God to tell you the truth.

God’s word concerning turning the Nile River into blood – happened.  Pharaoh and his magicians and servants were there.  The fish in the Nile died and the river became foul.  It was impossible to drink.  All of Egypt was affected, for the Nile River runs through the entire country plus other countries.  It is 4,258 miles long and commonly regarded as the longest river in the world.

The magicians also used their magic arts and copied God’s work.  Pharaoh’s heart was hardened and he did not listen to Moses and Aaron.  He returned to his house.

What did the Egyptians do for water?  They dug around the Nile River for water to drink.  Pharaoh’s stubborn hardness affected all the people he ruled.   Exodus 7:20-24

Hard hearts reject, they refuse to listen even when proof is given of the power of God.
Hard hearts continue to spread and believe fake news.

Fake News!
(NASB) Psalm 52:3 “You love evil more than good,
Falsehood more than speaking what is right.”

the word of the LORD is flawless.
He is a shield for all who take refuge in him.”
