Did you know “hardness of heart” is implacable stubbornness?

The negative side of the definition of “stubborn” – unduly determined to exert one’s will; not easily persuaded; obstinate; difficult to handle or work with.

The positive side of the definition of “stubborn” – perseverance; persistent

The negative side of stubbornness – is self-will at its best.
And, my friend, self-will is ugly!

The LORD God recognized the stubbornness, the hardness of Pharaoh’s heart and attitude.  Pharaoh refused, absolutely refused, to let the Hebrew slaves go into the wilderness to worship God.
Exodus 7:14

I wonder how difficult it must have been to be around Pharaoh.  Stubbornness is difficult to live with or work with and be around.

God knows your stubbornness which is really unbelief in Him.

Some questions I ask myself, will you ask these same questions?

Where am I exhibiting stubbornness in my life?  At what points do I refuse, absolutely refuse, to agree with the living God?

Where do I have “hardness of heart” against the LORD God of the Holy Bible?

~ Take it to heart ~

“Examine me, O LORD, and try me;
Test my mind and my heart.”
(NASB) Psalm 26:2
