The LORD God talked to Moses about what to expect from the Pharaoh of Egypt.

(NASB) Exodus 7:14 “Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘Pharaoh’s heart is stubborn; he refuses to let the people go.”

The LORD knew the hardness, the implacable will of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

Did Moses hope that Pharaoh would give in and let the Hebrew slaves go into the wilderness a three days journey to worship their God?

If Pharaoh had relented – then it would have been easy – really easy for Moses.  BUT, the Hebrews would have still been slaves.  They would have continued to live in Egypt as slaves.  They would not have received the Promised Land as their inheritance from God.

What is happening in your life which you would like to see resolved without much effort and without pain?

Many times, the easy way out is not how God works.  There is much at stake.  There are lives yet to be influenced, lives changed and God’s will done.  His freedom is His gift to us.

Never forget; the LORD is using difficult circumstances which seem impossible, to deliver us from a yoke of slavery.

The LORD delivers us from selfishness, self-absorption and self-pity and gives us His freedom.

The LORD God’s freedom is an opportunity for His will to be done in and through us.

God’s freedom does not depend on our circumstances.  Freedom depends on the LORD God and how we view life and its challenges.

Do not give up, do not give in!
(NASB) Galatians 5:1 “It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.”

~ Take it to heart ~

True freedom is all about the LORD and His reality.

(NIV) 1 Peter 2:16 “Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God.
