TGIT
I heard a sermon some time ago entitled, “TGIT.” I actually thought it was a misprint – not so!
(NASB) Psalm 118:24 “This is the day which the LORD has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
What do those letters stand for? TGIT ~ “Thank God Its Today”
When I awoke this morning I had a dread in my heart and mind. I dreaded the thought that my time away from home was almost over.
I dreaded the thought I would be leaving loved ones and going home.
But wait! I had loved ones at home I hadn’t seen for a while.Before I got out of bed, I had one of two choices to make. When my feet hit the floor, would I step into this day with dread and a ‘downer’ attitude or would I choose to rejoice?
TGIT – Thank God its today! This day is a gift given to me in this moment of time.
What a waste of this day to be negative and filled with dread!
What a waste of this day if I choose not to rejoice in God my Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
~ Take it to heart ~
What a waste of time and emotional energy if I did not Thank God, it is TODAY!
How will you now go forward into this day?
Will you choose to say: Thank God ~ its TODAY!
