Recently, my world drastically changed.  Is your world changing?  Scary, isn’t it?
This brings me to the point – okay, do I trust God for a new way of thinking, saying and doing?  OR do I only continue to feel secure when I hang onto my old concepts?

The  LORD may want to teach you and me a different way of looking at life, ministry and/or job.  This means trusting God for His way for us.  This means we may have to let go of what is comfortable and familiar.

Pharaoh, in the times of Moses, refused; absolutely refused, to trust the living God.
(ESV) Exodus 7:9 “… Prove yourselves by working a miracle…”

God did work a miracle in the sight of Pharaoh.  Aaron threw down his staff and it became a snake.  Exodus 7:10-12

How did Pharaoh respond to the proof that the living God authorized Moses and Aaron to do His bidding?

(ESV) Exodus 7:13 “Still Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them, as the LORD had said.”

Pharaoh refused to let go and believe the proof God gave him.

Do I refuse to hear what God wants me to learn?  My world is changing… can I really trust God for those changes?  Pharaoh refused.  Do I?

Too many times I am like Pharaoh – I ask for God’s will, He shows me what He wants me to do and I do not listen.  I stubbornly hang onto my concepts.  In reality, I am not yielded to God and His will for me.

What can I expect when I do trust God in my changing world?

(ESV) Psalm 40:3
“He put a new song in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear,
and put their trust in the LORD.”

~ Take it to heart ~

This is what happens when I trust in my God – in my changing world.

LORD God, You give me a new song!
I praise You, God!
Many will see the change in me!
I am a witness to others because I trust in You, LORD!’
