Did you know that the living God knows all about you?  He knew you when you were conceived.  That is intimate knowledge, my friend.

(ESV) Psalm 139:15-16 “My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in Your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”

The LORD knew all about Pharaoh in the days of Moses and Aaron.  In fact, the All-Knowing
God told them what Pharaoh would say, his actions, his responses and his reactions to them.

What do I try to “hide” from people and from God?
He knows all about me – my demanding words, my defensive actions, my denials of God’s power and my deafened ears to what He wants me to know about Him.

This is the very same thing that the pagan Pharaoh did in the days of Moses.

Pharaoh’s demanding words
God told Moses and Aaron the words Pharaoh would say to them and God told them what to do.  Aaron’s staff became a serpent.  Pharaoh said, “Prove yourselves…”  Exodus 7:8-9
Are your words demanding your way?

Pharaoh’s defensive actions
Pharaoh called on his magicians and sorcerers to mimic the miracle… their staffs became snakes; but Aaron’s serpent/staff ate all of them.  Exodus 7:10-12
Are you defending yourself?

Pharaoh denied God’s power
Pharaoh did not acknowledge the power of God – his heart was hardened.   Exodus 7:13
Are you denying God’s power in your life?

Pharaoh’s deafened ears
Pharaoh would not listen to Moses and Aaron – just as the LORD said.  Exodus 7:13
Are you listening with your full attention on God?

Can you say:
God knows all about me!
He knows my thoughts, words and actions.

What does God say of you?
The LORD God knows you!
And you can be comforted and find rest in Him.
