Out of the million Hebrew slaves in Egypt God chose the tribe of Levi.  Out of the tribe of Levi, God specifically chose Moses and his brother Aaron to deliver Israel out of slavery.

God is Sovereign and He can choose anyone He wants.

To follow Him is to be an encourager and supporter of His chosen leaders… in your church, in your family, in your neighborhood and in your village, town or city.

Are these leaders perfect?  No, they are not.  Was Moses a perfect leader?  No, he was not.  But he was dependent on the LORD – well, most of the time.  This was why he needed others to be praying for him.

Spiritual leaders are not infallible.  We need to pray for our spiritual leaders, they are people.  People can make wrong or bad choices… one step at a time.  A seeming innocent decision that is not God-centered leads to other choices which go further and further from God.

So how can I be helpful to my spiritual leader?
Prayer for my priest or pastor is vital.  Those men and women need my support and encouragement and my prayers.

Why do I need to pray for my spiritual leaders?
Because of the following fact:
(ESV) Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…”

Spiritual leaders are not infallible – only God is infallible.  Spiritual leaders need my prayers and my encouragement.
