God Proves Himself
The LORD God introduced Himself to the sons of Israel. His power and authority established His right to be their God. He proved Himself to them, over and over, that He would deliver them from the oppression of slavery.
“I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God, and you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who has brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.”
(ESV) Exodus 6:7
Trusting the living God of the Holy Bible is NOT a leap into the dark. Such a “leap” of faith is foolish.
He does not say one thing and then laughs at your gullibility. God does not “fool” anyone. He is straight up with who He is and what He does for you.
The LORD God provides us the proof we need to trust Him. He has for years! He has since creation began. And, that’s a looong time ago. He is the same God today as He was in the ancient past.
We could not know the LORD God if He hadn’t revealed Himself over the centuries. In fact, He can be knowable. Do you know who Jesus is? He came to show us the Father.
Jesus said, “I and the Father are one.” John 10:30
Jesus made an astounding statement: “… if you knew Me, you would know My Father also.”
John 8:19
Do you know Jesus? His credentials are impeccable. He was sent from God the Father. Jesus also said, “But the testimony which I have is greater than the testimony of John; for the works which the Father has given Me to accomplish – the very works that I do – testify about Me, that the Father has sent me.” John 5:36
Read the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John to “see” that Jesus’ very words are evidence of God’s authority given to His only begotten Son, the LORD Jesus Christ.
~ Take it to heart ~
God the Father gave His seal of approval to His Son, the LORD Jesus Christ. John 6:27
The credentials of God are supported by the works and words from the first to the last book of the Holy Bible.
(NASB) John 6:28-29 “Therefore they said to Him, ‘What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?’
29 Jesus answered and said to them, ‘This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.’”
Do you believe God’s credentials and testimony?
Do you believe in Jesus, the One whom God sent for you?
