Pharaoh increased the pressure on the Hebrew slaves.  How did he put added pressure on them?  Look for straw and make the same amount of bricks every day as you did in the past.  Exodus 5:6-9

The Egyptian taskmasters told the foremen of the Hebrews what was expected.  When the production of bricks became less – the taskmasters beat the foremen.  Exodus 5:10-14

Unfair!  Unfair!

Unfair expectations!

Unfair treatment!

Unfair, period!

What is in your life which causes you to scream – Unfair!  Unfair!

From your perspective: you work hard, you are always on time, you are compassionate, you are available.  And what kind of treatment do you get?  Mistreated?  Abused?  Taken for granted? Ignored?  Unfair!  Unfair!

Jesus said…
(NASB) Matthew 7:12 “In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.”

Did you notice the above verse?  God does not comment on how you are being treated!

~ Take it to heart ~

(NIV) Galatians 5:13-14 “You, my brothers, were called to be free.  But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.  14The entire law is summed up in a single command: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

Followers of Christ – the words ‘Unfair! Unfair!’ are words focused on ourselves.  Jesus says to love others as you love yourself.

We are to focus on God’s perspective, not ours.
