“Afterward”
There are words in the Scriptures which grab my attention… one of those words is “afterward.”
The word “next” or “following” could replace “afterward.”God’s logical orderliness and His timing can be seen in people’s lives and through the events recorded in the Holy Bible.
The word “afterward” is important. So many times I read over a word and not think about what it is really saying.
(NASB) Exodus 5:1 “And afterward Moses and Aaron came and said to Pharaoh…”
Afterward
– After Moses and Aaron spoke to the leaders of the Hebrew slaves in Egypt.
– After Moses proved the LORD God called him to lead the sons of Israel out of slavery.
– After the leaders were convinced that the LORD God was concerned about them and had seen their affliction as slaves. Exodus 4:27-31
God was at work long before Moses and Aaron went before Pharaoh.
God called Moses to lead the sons of Israel out of Egypt.
God called Aaron to go into the wilderness to find Moses.
God called Moses and Aaron to go to the most powerful man in Egypt and ask permission for the slaves to go into the wilderness and worship the living God.
God knew Pharaoh would refuse. God told Moses that He would work miracles in Egypt before Moses would lead the slaves to the Promised Land. Exodus 3:20
God is at work today… one day the word “afterward” will be used in your life as well.
The living God of the Holy Bible knows your needs, your real needs.
He knows what will happen in your life.
He knows how He will fulfill His plans for you. Do you know Him?Everyone has a real need of forgiveness.
Have you received Jesus as your Savior? He alone can forgive you.
~ Take it to heart ~
“Afterward” you will see Him, face to face.
“Afterward” you will worship Him as He really is.
“Afterward” will you hear Him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant?”
