Do You Dare?
Moses told the LORD to find someone else to do the talking when he went to Egypt. He was called by God to deliver the sons of Israel out of slavery.
This made the LORD blazingly angry. But God did not retaliate. He provided another person to do the speaking; Aaron, Moses’ older brother.
(NASB) Exodus 4:14-17 “… ‘Is there not your brother Aaron the Levite? I know that he speaks fluently. And moreover, behold, he is coming out to meet you; when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.
15 ‘You are to speak to him and put the words in his mouth; and I, even I, will be with your mouth and his mouth, and I will teach you what you are to do.
16 ‘Moreover, he shall speak for you to the people; and he will be as a mouth for you and you will be as God to him.’
17 ‘You shall take in your hand this staff, with which you shall perform the signs.”
Even though Moses refused to speak, God used him anyway. The LORD God was still Moses’ God. The LORD was still in charge of the circumstances.
Do you dare to move forward and be faithful to God’s call to you?
Do you dare to go outside of your comfort level and be available to God’s leading?
Do you dare to be teachable under God’s capable hands?
