To be continued…
God’s story is on-going. As you read and study the Bible, as you continue from Genesis to Exodus, the story of God unfolds. To be continued is the theme of God from book to book.
In fact, when you begin in Genesis and read through the Old Testament and continue into the New Testament to the last book of Revelation… God’s story continues to unfold. Amazing God!
God does that in your life, doesn’t He? His love and leading continues from yesterday to today and will continue tomorrow. For the followers of Christ, God’s love and leading will continue even in eternity.
I would like to let you in on a secret. It has blessed me in the last weeks and months of my life as my spouse was dying.
I have a loose-leaf, a not too large notebook at my bedside. Each evening I list the blessings of God in my life that day. It is amazing at what He does in the little things of life. Blessing upon blessing!
My life has drastically changed, but God has not changed! My life is “to be continued” as I trust Him to love and lead me in the hours, days and weeks ahead.
Is He your God? Is Jesus your Savior? Oh, how I pray for all those reading this devotional to know of God’s amazing love for you! I pray that your eternal life would also “be continued” in His presence.
~ Take it to heart ~
(NASB) Ephesians 3:14-19 “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,
15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name,
16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man,
17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;
And that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.”
Amen and Amen!
